Our Team

The Seven1 Group was formed in 2009 by three colleagues and friends. Their goal:  providing customized software services to web design companies, marketing firms and small to midsize businesses. 

Parker Lyons  Parker Lyons, CEO

Parker Lyons has worked in software development and web design since 2000. More importantly, he has worked for several years running a technical consulting company. This allowed him to exercise his communication and customer services skills and learn hands-on about the values most important to a successful company. Those values - customer service, communication, honesty and experience – are the foundation of The Seven1 Group.

Parker has worked in enterprise level Java development for 10 years building large scale web applications.  While consulting, he developed small business web applications using PHP and MySQL.  He graduated from Wabash College in 1997 and later earned a Master’s degree in Public Relations from Indiana University.  His diverse background has served him Seven1 well, as he melds communication and people skills with software engineering.

Parker plays golf and watches movies when he has time to spare, and enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons.

Jodi Yoder  Jodi Yoder, COO

Jodi Yoder has worked primarily in marketing and information technology since 1994. This unique combination has allowed her to combine two aspects of business that use her creative and analytical skills. In marketing, she focused on information research and customer communication. In information technology, Jodi has spent much of her career focused on providing information to her customers that assists in business decisions and also in marketing efforts. The integration of these skills and the Seven1 Group values: customer service, communication, honesty and experience are an integral part of this organization.

Jodi graduated from Taylor University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Systems. She is involved in her church community. Her favorite ways to spend time are finding new sushi restaurants, biking, watching movies with friends, and traveling to locations with beautiful beaches!

Chris Murphy  Christopher Murphy, CIO

Chris Murphy has worked in software development since 2000 and has expertise in Java Architecture and Database administration.  His skillset is vital to The Seven1 Group, as his experience in software expertise ranges from report development to persistence frameworks to database system design. His talents, along with his commitment to quality, are a huge part of Seven1’s success.

Chris graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 1998 with a degree in Management Information Systems. Chris is a proud dad and husband with a wife and two daughters. He spends his free time boating, restoring cars, and perfecting his guitar hero skills!
